Both tools can help assemble a narrated video. The buying decision depends on how much of the work is scene creation, stock-based assembly, narration or editing. A subscription allowance is useful only if it covers the step you actually use.
Explore Pictory for a recurring script or article adaptation workflow whose video-minute needs you can count. Explore InVideo for idea-led creation and model-based visual work, after confirming the exact plan and generation quote. These are workflow recommendations, not claims about output quality.
| Starting point | Pictory route | InVideo route | Before paying |
|---|---|---|---|
| A finished script | Use script/URL video assembly; review scenes, stock choices and narration. | Turn the brief into a draft, then refine the edit and selected visuals. | Identify which scenes need generation rather than stock. Count narration separately. |
| An existing article | Start with its URL or an adapted script. Check that the video preserves the article’s meaning. | Prepare a concise video brief or script before assembling the draft. A direct article-import equivalent is not established here. | Budget human review for attribution, factual context and visual relevance. |
| Custom generated footage | Generative AI consumes its own credit pool, separate from script/URL video minutes. | Exact model settings determine the credit quote; plan names alone do not predict clip cost. | Confirm duration, resolution, audio and failed/repeated generation charges. |
| Recorded interview editing | Check the recorded-video workflow and its separate length/file limits. | Check the editing workflow with your own footage before assuming a complete replacement. | Also consider Descript’s transcript-led workflow. |
They overlap at the finished-output level: turning a message into an edited, narrated video. That does not make their subscription resources interchangeable. Pictory’s script/URL video minutes do not buy an equal number of InVideo model-generation seconds, and premium voice minutes are another resource again.
A substitution decision should use a sample project with your required export and rights. We have not tested either product’s image quality, speed, reliability or editing time. There is no evidence here for declaring a universal winner.
Verified fields are published below. Conflicting price figures are withheld rather than promoted as a lowest-price claim. Follow the official pricing links and confirm the offer in your own currency before checkout.

Video-minute allowances verified; prices, AI credit and voice figures withheld where official sources disagree.
| Plan | Monthly plan allowance | Annual plan total | Project limit | Prices |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 200 min / month | 2,400 min / year | 30 min | Withheld — source conflict |
| Professional | 600 min / month | 7,200 min / year | 30 min | Withheld — source conflict |
| Team | 1,800 min / month | 21,600 min / year | 30 min | Withheld — source conflict |
The pricing FAQ describes annual minutes as an upfront yearly pool, not a monthly allowance. These minutes do not pay for generative clips or premium narration. Existing accounts and customized plans may differ.
Base offer lists 3+ users; custom seats are not modeled · 100 GB storage · 10 brand kits

Plan versions and regional pricing need reconciliation. No price or credit preset is published.
The pricing page lists Starter, Plus, Max; help pages use Basic, Pro and Ultra. Price-page reads have returned both EUR and dollar displays; the help pages quote USD. We cannot confirm how those plan families map to each other.
Prices and included credits are withheld pending reconciliation. Exact generation charges depend on model settings and the in-app quote; a rounded “videos per plan” example is not a fixed per-clip rate.

A monthly payment and an annual plan’s monthly equivalent are different cash flows. For a confirmed annual quote, annual payment ÷ 12 gives an accounting average; it does not mean the vendor will charge that smaller amount each month.
Pictory’s subscription help describes annual billing, while its current pricing page lists yearly video-minute totals. Its pricing FAQ states that the yearly video-minute pool is available upfront. That pool is not a separate monthly allowance; annual usage and prior spending need their own budget. Its separate AI-credit guide explicitly describes annual AI credits being granted together; that rule must not be transferred to video minutes.
Because the price sources conflict, we do not calculate a published savings percentage or break-even month. Before choosing annual billing, confirm the total due today, renewal amount, quota schedule, cancellation effect and refund eligibility. Do not assume a displayed promotion renews at the same rate.
Count newly downloaded project minutes for the month. For example, twelve five-minute projects imply 60 video minutes under the documented deduction model. Compare that demand with a verified plan allowance, then check narration, storage and rights separately. The public Starter allowance is 200 video minutes per month; that is a capacity check, not a claim about the full project cost.
Check Pictory video-minute capacity →Confirm an exact model quote first. Scene length and retries can dominate credit consumption. InVideo’s unresolved plan mapping and Pictory’s inconsistent AI-credit allowances prevent a defensible automated plan recommendation here.
Use the manual generation-credit model →Confirm the included seats and shared resource pool for the base offer before scaling it. Extra users, custom allowances and separate subscriptions can change the bill; a personal-plan calculation is not a team quote.
Pricing evidence above links each source and flags unresolved fields. Workflow descriptions also refer to the InVideo product page and Pictory product page. Recommendations follow the starting-material and billing-unit differences; no hands-on benchmark or affiliate incentive is used as evidence.
